Warcraft 3 CD Key storage?

I erased erased windows on a partition a while back, and ran warcraft 3 fine. However, with the new patch out, I can't update becasue it cannot find where I installed warcraft.

I have both Warcraft 3 and Frozen throne cd's on me and only my warcraft 3 cd key. What I want to know is where does Warcraft keep my Frozen throne CD key? I don't have any folder in the registry for warcraft. I have played on b.net perfectly fine until now, where I have to update to the current patch.

Nevermind, I got a program that found the cd key for me after logging on to bnet.

I had a similar problem. It couldn't find where the warcraft3 installation was at. I wound up doing some googling and found out where the key for the InstallPath is supposed to be stored. I then went into regedit and made a key with the correct install path and warcraft updated fine.

not at all related, but that new gentoa worm steals all those stored cd keys and opens a back door to hackers to come in and take them :S
