While I don't claim to be particularly knowledgable about any of all this yet, I have become relatively familiar with most of the components and procedures for OCing my boxes. I know just enough to be dangerous!

Except for Vid cards, that is. I'm only just now delving into it, and I'm once again so greatful for all y'all. I'm getting warm and fuzzy...

But I digress.

OK I've read the beginner guides and I've read a few more things here and there on the net; What I'm asking for here is for each and every one of you to recommend one thing at least to read regarding video cards, how they work, and how to overclock them. No fair telling me to read the beginner guides and this forum- I already know to do that much! But I sure could get more out of it and maybe be able to help some people out once I've read AND LEARNED about 100 times more than I have so far-

I've said before many times, I'm getting as much joy from learning this stuff as from the actual OC'ing itself. I had to rein myself in, because it's the hottest time of year for fishing and between that and this, I don't get enough sleep to do my job as well as I should.

But I still manage to read a lot, and learn, and I just want to be a part of this wonderful place.

So, any suggestions from my fellow overclocker-personages would be appreciated!

First of all: Do you have a video card?

Second: What kind is it?

Third: Post above info, sit back and let the information roll!

Or if you are thinking about buying one, tell us what you need it for, and how much cash you can spend....

Yes sir I do! It's a radeon le 32 mb, ATI. Came highly recommended from Computer Discount Warehouse in San Diego, about $80 or so. Any good? I see Hugo approves! Thanks in advance guys!

Thank you very much Hugo 59- I just read the pages you linked. Very interesting. I think I got lucky, like a blind guy stumbling into something soft and sweet. Or something. I bought the card w/o knowing a thing about it except I'd heard radeon was popular, and it appears to be a diamond in the rough.

I can't wait to OC the thing.
