Finally got my 2000+ at 2.35ghz. I was just playing max payne 2 at 2.3ghz 1.85V no problems. Im gonna try it now at this speed.
Using a thermaltake Volcano 9+ with artic silver. Temps are in the low 40's idle. I need better cooling. I could get 2350 unless I dropped my bus below 200. Using Samsung DDR 3200 512mb.
Board is an Asus A7N8X-X.

UPDATE: My machine rebooted while playing max payne 2 at 2.35ghz although I was playing it for over 5 mins. I guess this thing needs a little more juice but this board only goes to 1.85 :(

Is thier a Jumper by right above the cpu socket that allows overvolting like the A7v333 does ?

If the game wasnt stable the ni bet prime95 would fail in less 1 or 2 minutes.

You need to use prime95 to test cpu sability not video games.

The one problem Im having is that although 2.3ghz is stable in XP and playing games my system won't cold boot at 2.3. If I set it to 2.2 it'll cold boot and I can restart the system at 2.3 or even 2.35 but I can't cold boot from 2.3. Its strange because its stable in windows. Im using 11*200 for 2.3. Any ideas?

Umm run prime95 @ 2.3ghz i bet even that isnt stable and ob will run for an hour maybe less before it fails, i could be wrong tho. But if ur having probs @ 2.3ghz and sometimes ur not then it isnt stable.

Donwload this http://mersenne.org/gimps/p95v238.exe Install it and run the Touture test Under the otions tab, ru nthe test called blend. It will use all youre memory so just go watch tv or something. If it fails ur cpu is unstable.

Run it for like 5 hours or so.

Why won't my machine cold boot at 2.3ghz though? I'll play max payne and whatever. I've relaxed my memory timings. I can boot at 2.4ghz but it crashes just before getting into widnows.

If you want to just ignore what i said then i cant help u any further. I cant answer ur question without u verifying its even stable. Just run prime95 on blend for 10 or so test's.

I can play games @ 2480mhz stabily, but whe ni run prime 95 it fails after an hour. See what im saying ?

I ran prime at 2.3ghz for about 10-12 minutes with no crash. I'll have to run it longer tomorrow no time tonight.
