Can some1 explain to me what is reg/unreged RAM? Some1 told me about my MB not supporting different brands of reg RAM or somthing and I understood the brand pard but not the reg.

When writing to memory, if the memory has a buffer it is used to detect errors and trap them before they crash the system. Unbuffered memory doesn't have this feature. Registered RAM doesn't have buffers but works like RAM that does have buffers. How you ask? I don't know, really. :-p In any case, registered ram tends to be more stable and allows you to mix and match different types of memory easier. Some motherboards just don't support registered RAM.
