I got an 1.1 tbird with a geforce2mx card. Has been working fine in all games but now suddently my mouse takes like 2sec to respond in games who uses direct3d!! WTF is wrong??

Has been working great before. This problem occures specially when playing UT and max payne. In the menu screen on UT it happens all the time, i move the mouse then it dosen move before 1-2sec later.

Same thing happens when i play too may be working fine and suddently it gets slow response time again REALLY odd.

Same in the menu screen in max payne it takes 1-2sec before the mouse pointer moves and sometimes when i play i get the same delay:(

The same thing occurs on both win2k and winME so i relly dunno what can be causing this problem.

The mouse is working fine in windows and other aps or if i run games in openGL instead. Seems to be some error with the direct3d driver??

Also i got the latest via 4-1drivers, detonator3 drivers.

The mouse is a regular ps2 mouse.

seems also to affect my damn keyboard. Tried UT again and suddently both mouse and keyboard didnt respond at all. the sound still worked, so the only thing i had to do was too push the damn reset button!!!!!!!!!!

Im getting tired of this crap, seems like everytime i buy hardware i get such problems like that which none have heard off.

What was the last thing you remember doing to your rig before it started doing that?

If you can tell its just your mouse (esp. in FPS), you may want to pick up a usb mouse. I have the microsoft wheel mouse with the intellieye. It's a great little bugger. :)

I had a similar problem. When playing games my mouse would begin to hesitate then eventually freeze up, often taking the keyboard for the same ride. I'd have to reset. This only happened when gaming. Solution, update your mouse drivers. After I did, the problems quickly sank beneath the waves of the daunting sea. :D
