By how much does this out perform the 9600 xt?

I used to have a 9600xt, if you do upgrade to a 9800pro you will notice quite a difference in some of the games. Maybe an upgrade to a higher card will be better though, like an x800 after the price drops hit.

The main difference between the two,besides clock speed, is that the 9800 pro has 8 rendering pipelines while the 9600 XT is only carrying 4. In summary: pipelines are good :)

A rough estimate would be about 40% with no eye candy on, pulling farther ahead with it on.
