Hey guys, I was just wondering how you think vinyl dye would work for cables. More specifically, how do you think it would work on Serial ATA cables? I have these red S-ata cables (generic I think.... they came with my Asus P4c800 E-Deluxe) and I'd like to dye them black. The outer insulation is rubber-like I guess. So what do you guys think? Would it work? Do you think I'd have to worry about the dye seeping through to the wires and causing data corruption or something like that? Let me know what you all think.
Oh.... and any suggestions on the best brand of vinyl dye?

You could always try uying some black tubular heatshrink.

Well I'm planning on getting a can of black vinyl dye for future mod projects anyways so was just trying to save $10. But I found some cheap UV cables @ frozencpu and I was planning on buying stuff there soon anyways so I won't have to pay s/h twice if I buy all of it together. How do you guys think the vinyl dye would work on regular white/clearish molex connectors?
Thx for the suggestions.
