I'm finally ready to jump into the future of gaming with the power of dual channel ddr. I have a 512 stick of Buffalo 3200 with the BH-5 chips. I have it running at 2-2-2-6 at about 190 fsb , 2.7v.

I've been out of the ram scene for a minute, so I'm not really sure whats available for a decent price. I don't want to spend that much, but want something that can run at the same/similar speed as the stick I've got.

I'm ok with raising the voltage, and might be upgrading the processor and mobo in a couple months, so future proof ram would be a plus. I'd also consider selling this stick and getting 2 matched ones.

Thanks for any recommendations.

BH-5 is always nice!
Persoanlly I would pair your stick with another 512 mb BH-5 stick (disregarding brand)
Find out somehow, how high your current stick will go, and then go hunt for a "match"
(I know memory brands should not be paired, but IMHO BH-5 is BH-5)

Getting a new matched pair isn't a bad idea at all, but you can be sure that it wont be BH-5 then.

Well, if you're setting up dual ddr, i'd obviously try and get a double of what u got otherwise get some Corsair XMS Pro LL memory in TwinX

well, after checking some prices for BH-5, I really can't afford to keep it. Looks like i'll be hitting up my moms for a $100 'loan' to buy a matched pair of soemthing else and selling this stick. Too bad i didnt buy like 10 of these when they were $90.

Anyway, what pair of 2x 512 mb sticks are a good buy? I want something good, but not ridiculously overpriced.
