I reinstalled windows on this guys computer today (Win ME), and I hopped online and downloaded the latest drivers for his Voodoo3 2000 card (v 1.07.something), anyway, everything was going fine...can get the color depth, but I can't get any reslolutions higher than 640x480. Can't even try. So there has to be something up with the drivers...I tried reinstalling them but no go.
So for now he's stuck at 640x480 in Windows....can anyone help?

maybe his monitor does not support a higher resolution? also try voodoofiles.com they have downloads for third party drivers for voodoo video cards. i use the ca drivers on my 3000 and it supports higher screen resolutions and refresh rates. maybe they have some for the 2000. just a shot in the dark, good luck.
Try installing the monitor. Don't leave it at "default Plug&Play", pick one from the list even if it's not the right one, if yours is not listed.
V3 cards sometimes get "stuck" in exactly what u describe- can't even move the res slider right? I have a 3000AGP and a 2000PCI- they both did this like every 3rd boot. God knows why. But, removing the default monitor and telling windows what brand and model it really was cured it.
Hope this gets the job done.

Cool, thanks....I'll give those ideas a try....I didn't set the monitor, I'm using my Envision 17" at work, don't even know what he has...

I set the monitor to an AOC, and was able to get 800x600. Then I switched it to a Viewsonic and got everything under the sun! Thanks alot for the advice...its kinda odd to have to set things like that, but hey, it works!
