How much cheaper would it be if i made my own phase change unit?

I whole heck of a lot. If you buy a window A/C unit that is around 5000 BTU/H for $100 USD you could probably get away with a complete phase change setup for around $150-$175 total. Now compare that to the $800 premade units...

er...well...its still a hassle..the biggest investment in major cooling is time
