Alright I have an old Compaq Presario with a K6-2 233MHZ processor in it. My question is can I use a 750mhz Duron in that motherboard?

No, wrong socket. The AMD K6-2 goes in a Socket 7 and the Duron goes in a Socket A.

The k6-2 uses socket7, while the duron is socket-A. You could put a Pentium 233 in it, lol. You could get a k6-2@500mhz, assuming the board supports 100fsb, or even a k6-3. The K6-3 was the first desktop cpu from amd to have L2 cache(that I know of) and its faster per clock than a P2. I actualy have one laying around here somewhere....

EDIT: Arg, beat me to it.
