This has probably been mentioned but there are only 298 users folding for overclockers.com. Thats pathetic, we have 8000 + users in this forum. I'm new to f@h, and should of joined earlier, but we got to get more guys folding! we could kick some serious a** if we get 8000 computers folding!

Actually, we only have 113 active users. And the forum has a lot less than 8000 active members. It's not a good thing to pressure people into folding too much, if you take a look at what's happened at MadOnion, they were pressuring people, which made everything very unfriendly. The mention on the front page, the new sticky in GD, advertising in our sigs, and the existance of this board all help recruit people, personally I don't think we should go farther than that.

and then of course sometime people go on vacation for two weeks. I just did a reformat so i hope the folding client doesnt make me start over at zero when i sign back up. i lost 450 or so of my posts when the new overclockers board got put up. now i look like a newbie all over again.

As responsible for this project I agree with sfa ok, we can't force people to join us. Besides, a lot of the 8000 members are "one timers", meaning that they post a question, recieve help, and never come back.
As a folding guy, I agree with the Mad hatter: We should be able to get more people folding for our team! We could really kick some a**!

I have to stick with number 1 though.

Hi Allan and the other guys,
the prob is that more people just works for Folding@home in other groups, like me, so it's difficult, or better not so nice change the way ;-)

you guys are right, we shouldn't pressure people into joining, I think that overclockers.com is way beyond that kind of thinking.

well since not everyone is folding, I guess i'll have too leave my computer on 24/7. what a great excuse:

my mom: Turn off your computer its way to loud! I can't sleep and I'm across the hall form you!

me: Its for good cause, It may help cure cancer one day....
