I have a very good computer with:

An AMD Athlon XP 2800+ At 2.19Ghz (3200+ Barton.).

512MB PC3200 DDR.

Radeon 128MB 9600 Pro.

120GB 7200rpm Disk Drive.

Nforce2 Board: MSI K7N2 Delta Series.

Samsung 52x CD-RW.

Liteon DVD-Drive.

Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound.

Windows XP Home.

X-Pert Digital Television Card.

Samsung SyncMaster 172v TFT Flatscreen.

What could possibly be improved?

You look ok for now. With the 64 bit stuff comming on strong, I wouldn't do too much to the current rig, rather, save up for the 64 bit stuff.

Video cards will be made in PCI-x fairly soon too so I wouldn't waste $$$ on that either right now.

With that said, your 512 MB RAM. Is that 1x512 or 2x256?

The Nforce2 will do dual channel so if you have 1x512, perhaps get another stick for 2x512.

Also, perhaps you may want to look into a DVD + - RW. Dual layer will be out later but you may or may not want to wait.

It's 2 Sticks Of 256MB to make dual channel in the board.

I was considering a DVD-RW but the prices are mostly too high and the cheaper ones are not very fast.

It is better to put a one-hour movie from television onto two CD-RWs At 52x Rewrite speed than onto a single DVD at 4x Rewrite speed isn't it?

As For 64-bit processors: wouldn't the difference for things like cd-rewriting and gaming be minimal though?
