hey guys here is the deal

i got a new nf7 for my computer. i reinstalled windows XP pro on the hdd which was already formatted and being used on the comp before i had the nf7. as soon as i got it all set up and started using it (never reformatting the hdd) i noticed many random reboots that came in the middle of me doing something. i figured this was because i hadn't reformatted the hdd yet, but i had a new hdd on the way that i was gonna transfer the stuff on the old hdd to before i formatted it so i just dealt with the rebooting. when i got the new hdd i transfered everything and all and now i'm running just the new hdd. i'm STILL receiving those random reboots though! my best guess is that this has something to do with the ram not being compatible with the nf7. is this a good guess? what are the other possibilities? how can i fix it? thanks!

ok i did both ram sticks seperately. both did it eventually. one of the sticks i grabbed from another comp. the other came with my old emachines. they are both 2100. since both rams did it it means either both have a problem or that it has nothing to do with the ram. what else could it be? thanks a lot

*UPDATE*
it just now crashed to a blue screen that said it had to stop windows to prevent the hurting of windows or something like that. it also said something about the driver is not less than or equal to (didn't say to what). said that its probly because of a recent hardware or software installation and that if the problem persists to uninstall the hardware or software and/or turn off bios caching in the bios or something like that. any ideas? thanks again!

Not insulting you or anything but...did you seat the heatsink correctly? Could be heat problems.

oh don't worry about insulting me.

i'm not positive i did, but pretty sure. when i feel the heatsink its pretty hot, and MBM5 reads it as normal temps (~50 load now, because its 90 F in the room lol, AC broke). 50C tho isn't so hot it should reboot or anything though i don't think. correct me if i'm wrong. it seems to reboot when i'm loading new things (games, looking through my computer, installing things, etc). thnx for your reply
