have you downloaded the client and installed it? after doing so, go to start, programs and find folding@home. Click on the little red cog, that says folding console-if it is the first time you have run it, it will ask for e-mail or user- enter "FerrariF50 (www.overclockers.com)" without the quotes and answer the next two questions, and then let it get a protein to fold....

Fold on brother, and welcome to the team...

Judging by yor system specs wait about 6-10 minutes and it should say: Finished a Frame (1)

It's working. Once you start it leave it like that for 5-10 minutes and you will see that it has processed 1 frame. then 2 frames, etc until 100 at which point it turns the work in to Stanford and gets another WU. The frames take several minutes each to process and the time depends on the speed and type of your processor.

Welcome to the team.

No, everything looks good. As it does a frame, it will show you. when it reaches 100 frames it will send the results in, and download another work unit.

One thing that I notice, is that you have is set to ask before connecting. So instead of automatically connecting you will have to allow it to connect to get send the results in and get another workunit.

Yes AMD is alot faster. Mine 1.2 system does a frame in about 2 and 1/2 minutes, maybe a little faster.

If you want to know what kind of performance to expect you could check out the folding timer http://www.alistairbraidwood.com/html/folding_timer.html
It gives you a fair estimate of how your current processor and how the new AMD will perform. The times are for 100 frames.
