Its got a compressor and all it has the bent white thing that has the gases going thrugh it.

That compressor is really not big enough.
A compressor like the one for those large chest freezers is needed for decent cooling.

Wasn't there some kind of constant heatload issue, which the fridge isnt rated for, with doing something like that?

i had that same frige (as a chiller) in use for about 6 months. the heat from the cpu, gpu,nb and db overtook it within 6 hours of normal use. for direct die you could gut it, then find a condenser etc. wal-mart also sells 5200btu window ac units for under $100. as a chiller or direct die the ac unit has most of the components youll need.
