According to mbm I am only getting an average of 11.42 on my +12.0. rail. Is there something i can adjust inside the psu or is this thing just shot?

First of all...never trust a software montior...get a multimeter and find your voltage read points and make sure that the PSU is actually undervolting...

alright ill check on that, but if my voltage really is that low is it a big problem where i would have to get a new psu?

if it is actually that low and you have no adjustable pots...then I would definetly upgrade to a better PSU...

agh ok, i thought that these things were supposed to be good?

Should i go with something like an antec?

Antec 550 True Controller or PC Power and Cooling turbo 510...

Sparkle is good, but they have recently come out with a couple of different grades. Which one do you have? How much did you pay for it?

i actually bought this about a year and a half ago so i dont really remember... but if the multimeter gives me bad news i am going to go for the antec

Did you test it?

I have a Sparkle FSP400 (I think thats what its called  ) and it has read 11.43 on the 12v with two different mo bo's (Intel 845PESV and Abit IC7 MAx 3).
I pulled the volt meter out of the garage last night but haven't gotten around to testing it.

Speaking of testing it, how do I?
what setting do I want the VM at and what wire(s) should I test?

thx.

Set the VM as close to the voltage your testing as you can (on most it's 20 VDC).

See the orange link in my sig for where to stick what.
