I am going to buy FFXI for pc soon and I have some questions. Me and my bro are both going to play and i was wondering if you have to pay the same amount if you have two accounts? Also, do you have to pay the monthly fee before you are able to activate your acount or can you activate an acount then go on right away and then pay?

youll need to buy 2 copies of the game for 2 accounts, you will get a free month of play before you have to start paying. If you want just one Account you can have 2 characters, i think the second one cost .99 cents or something i could be wrong abouth that, but you dont really need a second char. on an account.

One character for me and one for my brother.

1 account = 1 character = 12.99 a month

1 account = 2 characters = 13.99 a month


If you and your brother are going to interact, and want to play at the same time, with two PC's, you need two games, and two accounts

yup if you want to play both characters at the same time you will need two accouints if not one account will be fine
