Hi, got a problem driving me nuts, I got Windows XP Pro running on 2 machines before running network setup wizard I could surf the net and share files accross both computers, after running network setup it asks me for a password when I try and look at the files on the other computer but internet still works fine, I don't have any password set up on either computer so naturally I don't know the password it's asking me for, any ideas on what it's looking for? or better yet, how do I turn it off?

Have you enabled "file sharing" on the other computer you'e trying to access? right click the applicable files, and go to properties. Click allow "file sharing", it'll question your ability ot make that decision, then allow it. You can either allow specific files or entire drives.

It does this for security reasons. On both computers, I would setup a user account specifically for this purpose. Set whatever password you want, and just enter that username and password when it asks for it.
