On the fan controller I'm working on, i use pot's to regulate fan speed via LM317T's. Originally I thought about using normal led's that would dim as I turned down the voltage. But then another thought struck me: What about using dual color led?
My plan: The pot is connected with center to +5. If I then wire my led to either "side" of the pot, and to ground (plus resistor), then instead of a fading led, I would get a color changing led!
But using both "colors" of the led should't damage it, right? I have tested running both once, and it worked, but I haven't tried it out for an extended period of time.
