Hello there!

I OCed my AMD K6-2 400 to 500 Mhz. This didn't work out fine and I got system hangs and BSOD's. So I put the CPU back to the original speed of 400 Mhz. After this action my systems is acting very strange. Like rebooting without a reason, or just hanging up, crashing etc.. In Win2000 I get a message that my videocard is broken or something (in a blue screen..). In Win98 my ststem says that the appropriate driver for my CPU could not be loaded (??)..

I replaced the videocard but that didn't help me..

Please can anyone help me with this??

Welcome to Overclockers.com da_dwarf.

Did you lower the voltage back to normal when you went back to 400? It sounds to me like a power supply problem but I'm not totally shure. If you have accses to another power supply give it a try. I reccomend Motherboard Monitor 5 so you can see the all the voltages and temperatures of your system.

like bender said look at the 5volt rail and see how low she goes. It can be done in teh bios too.

A little update: I replaced the motherboard too, and still no solution to the problem, I'll try MBM 5 to see if that can help me.

Thankx for the tips guys, I'll keep you informed.
