I want oc my old machine now.

Okay, I've heard that I can overclock my compaq just by knowing my PLL chip thing. Okay so how do i do it?

1.what do i put for mobo manufact.? It's made by compaq!

2.what's alternative PLL access? I can't get PLL data so i think that i should put a check there, but it says i should turn off power... weird

3.whats PLL values?

BTW This is the newest version of CPUFSB. I've tried the older version with no luck. I read about the PLL thing in 3d guru forums.

Ok bob this is going to really help you out Soft FSB is very nice.

and I have all the PLL files in case your clock gen isn't listed drop me a Pm and I'll email them to you

Ok all you have to do is select the PLL it has to be the exact PLL as the number on the clock gen. Then hit GET FSB move the selector one notch up at a time Test it at that for an hour keep an eye at the temps. There is a program called CPUburn if you don't have it I can email it to you. I'd use that after an hour with no lockups or BSOD I'd take it up one more and do the same thing.

Try to keep the temps under 80ºF for a better OC. Also what type of heatsink do you have on your CPU. If its stock you might want something better before you OC. Heat is very bad

I have a big metal heatsink (silver colored so prob aluminum) and the case fan is blowing directly on to it.
I don't see get fsb!!!

these aren't my current settings but i have surrounded all the buttons in a green square.

Ok you have CPUfsb I was talking about SoftFSB I couldn't ever get the CPUFSB program to work. The get cpu freq is what you need to use to get the mhz your at now and then you need to up it and set it with the set button

This is what I use much better program and you don't have to pay for it.
That should have your PLL file in it if not all you need to do is copy and paste your PLL file into it. Just unzip it to something like SoftFSB everything you need is in there and just run the softfsb.exe

I am kinda interested in that program too but do i have to run the program every time i shout down my computer and start it again? Or once i change it will it be like that until i change it again?

Also, my PLL isn't on that program. Where can i download other PLL files from?

Try downloading what I have uploaded if its not there then I think you could do a search on google if you don't find it you have to make it.
