what's a good and fast web browser for a P166 laptop with Windows 2000 Pro and 48MB of RAM ? (yeah, I know it's not ideal to have that much RAM ;) but still it's working not so bad right now)
firefox takes so little system resources ... i think you should be okay with firefox :)
How in the hell do you have Win2k running on that lappy?!
For a browser for it, you might wanna check out plain-jane Mozilla, or Firefox.

ohh .. i remember running IE 4 on a 486DX100 toshiba laptop (that I gave away to my sister) .. and once it ran, no other proggie could be opened without the laptop came to a complete halt for ~1 minute... too bad my sister threw the laptop away and asked for a replacement (which I gave her .. a celeron 300 oced to 450mhz .. :D), otherwise I'd install firefox on that thing and see how it works :D

I had 2k running on a P133 lappy with 48MB of ram, it wasn't actually that bad!

firefox is ideal for laptops with horrible specs, opera i would give a shot to, takes up less recouraces than IE, or so it seems. Just a heaftirer download. But the features are worth it, due to not having to run multiple apps at once.

I just tried Firefox 0.8 and it's even heavier on the system than IE ! lol anyone knows if the earlier versions were any better ?
