Whenever I try to install an Operating System (Win 98, ME, 2K, XP) the setup tells me that there are no compatible partitions installed, and to return to the partition selection screen. My computer is striped in RAID-0. The weird thing is, I already had Windows XP installed on the main partition, but even when I try to install to that partition, I get the same error, and it won't even allow me to reformat the drive. When I try to do an install of 98 or ME, it won't even allow me to run FDISK, it says there are no fixed disks present, and if I try to start the computer with CD-ROM support, it won't allow me to access any of the partitions, saying that it is an invalid drive specification.

I know that the array is present and working properly, because I can boot into XP, but my 14 days is past, and I can't activate it, because my modem wasn't installed prior to thje 14 days, and it will not even allow you to add new hardware until it is activated.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Jonathan

I would suggest giving the KK266(R) faq a read, it's informative and can be very helpful...
