Problem with Adobe Photoshop 7.0

Ok, I uninstalled it many times, and reinstalled it many times, also doing regcleans etc... Anyway when I open it up, it shows the splash screen etc, shows that its loading everything and when it comes to... the part near the end when its loading "reading..." something i cant see what it says cause its to quick, but it starts with a C, it just closes off, even when i try to open up a .psd, it gets to that point and closes off, i dunno what it is ?

I'm going to install the update and see if that helps.

did you try it on a different computer? disk is scratched or bad copy?

the disc is ok cause ive intalled it on my other computer too "test computer", also i have it backed up to a ccd image which is also fine, but once i reinstall both to this computer it starts up, shows the splash etc.. then just closes off :(, I dont really feel like formating just for ps.
