Just wondering, will my Alpha 6035 Heatsink cool my 1.4ghz Thunderbird that I receive tomorrow? I have it partnered up with the 60mm Sanyo Denki Quiet fan, and I must say they did a great job on my P3 700e @ 1000mhz... I'm just a lil worried that my 1.4ghz may be a little too much for this heatsink to handle...

it probably isn't enough especially with the quiet(read low cfm) fan on it. If you have a delta that you can use you will probably be fine. otherwise look at the Glaciator or the SK-6.

I would reccomend the SK6 as the Glaciator is WAY to heavy. I'm thinking about replacing my Glaciators with SK6's.

if he's gonna get a delta anyway, why change HS?

trust me you won't find a huge change w/ the sk6, if ur gonna put the delta on the alpha pal, you'll do fine. unless your gonna try for some serious OC's, then you go with the swifty, or the new alpha 8000 serious, a swifty 462 knockoff.

don't know when the new alpha will be out, i suspect it will be tremendous. Right now, the SK-6 and Glac are the best price/performance.
