Hi everyone! I'm relatively new here... well, I've been lurking on the forum since late last year and started posting in the last few months. First of all, I just want to say that I REALLY appreciate all the expertise on this forum. I always thought I knew quite a bit about computers, but it wasn't until I dove in here and read the ideas and experiences of hardcore OCers, that I realized that I was a little fish in a BIG pond. :D

Anyway... enough of that! :p I've done all my research, built a couple of decent beige boxes, tested them for what seems like forever, and now it's time to put them to work. So I figure what better way than to do some crunching? (if you consider 24/7 to be "someĻ). :p

I've already got my XP-M crunching at 248x11 (2.7+, will probably back that down to 248x10 so I can save my hearing from my 92mm Tornado), at work I have 2 TBreds (stock 2.0 & 2.13) being put to use for some good, and down in the dungeon I have my retired Dell (2.0 Willy... yuck) spitting out a few more WU/day. My 2.8 (@3.4) isn't crunching yet, but after a PSU swap tomorrow hopefully it will be pumping out 20+ WU/day. So if all goes well I should be spitting out 30+ WU/day (figuring SOME downtime :D ) for the team!

There's definitely a wealth of knowledge in the forums. Glad to have you joining the team. Hopefully we'll be able to answer any questions you may have with respect to getting the most crunching out of your new rigs.

A hardy WELCOME ABOARD! I personally think you have made a wise decision hitching your wagon to the Overclockers.com Seti Team, I think you will find us a friendly and likeable bunch of guys and gals, who are more than willing to lend a helping hand with whatever problems or question pop up as you begin your exploration of our chosen "insanity".
Be forewarned, we are ranked by the medical community as being slightly more addictive than herion, and equally as difficult to kick once the addiction has a firm hold. Hang on for the ride of your life!
