The BEFSX41 has hidden pages that are not known to the general public. These are a few I found out about the BEFSX41.

** USE CAUTION WHEN APPLYING CHANGES**

192.168.1.1/reload.htm (does nothing but reloading)
192.168.1.1/auto_nego.htm ( wan port speed )
192.168.1.1/BackupnRestoreCfg.htm (backup and restore custom config data)
192.168.1.1/Filters.htm (older filterpage)
192.168.1.1/Log4Manage.htm (to enable debug log ea.)
192.168.1.1/routerdmz.htm (older dmz page)
192.168.1.1/MacFilterTable.htm (mac adress filter page)

There is another one for BEFSX41 and that is 192.168.1.1/NVCfgData.cfg .
This is a direct link to the config file that you can save from the 192.168.1.1/BackupnRestoreCfg.htm link.
This is also the place where you can later upload the config file to restore your settings.

I'm actually looking for some information to the hidden pages for the BEFSR81. If anyone has any info to share that would be great. I would like to add that it would be extremely helpful to all if we can gather a list of routers and there hidden pages.

Does anyone have any additional information about other routers they are using?

How did you come across these pages? I now want to check around on my router, lol.

Actually I came across them by pestering a tech at Linksys. One of the techs and I were going over a problem I had with a router and he asked me to check a hidden page. I asked him if there were anymore hidden pages and the rest is history. Unfortunately I can’t get information about any other router. I keep getting the techs that insist hidden pages don’t exist. I wish I can find that guy I spoke to before.

I have this same router and have been having issues with it not finding the internet after a day or so and have to go in and release and renew to get another IP and have access again. It's been happening since I updated the firmware.

Sorry to hear that. My router works fine then again I didn’t update the firmware. You know that old saying… if it ain’t broke…

ditto on the internet not working after a firmware upgrade. this thing is only 2 days old and the first thing i did was flash it. the setup pages look great but it wont get/hold an internet connection (PPPoE). (i have seen it connect twice, but it never lasted)

the chat tech wasnt too helpful and just told me to go back to an earlier version.

have you found a fix Fast420A?

edit: the only version that has worked it 1.45.3

just found this while searching for this router: posted on 06-05-04, 10:33 PM

I found the motherload of info over at Broadband Reports.com on the "Linxsys" forum.

Apparently, Linksys botched the latest firmware pretty bad. It doesn't work with most DSL services, and there are other issues as well.

I'm staying with my old firmware, and I might do 1.51 when it is proven reliable (beta is already out)...

Thanks for you time.

Although not a router, this might classify as a "hidden" page. If you have the Motorola sb4200 cable modem (most likely all surfboards), enter 192.168.100.1 into your browser. It will let you see a buncha neat stuff like your software version and you can reset your modem too. Yay! :burn:
