If AMD starts to lock their multipliers what should us Intel guys do?

A. Let them cry on our shoulders because we know their pain.
B. Setup an emergency support group until they get used to it.
C. Tell them that it is OK and that its alright for them to ask us for OCing help.

Or..

D. Point and laugh because that's what they have done to us for the past year and a half.

I don't get mad, I prefer to get even so D is my logical choice, but I'm curious of your answers. I believe AMD will lock them down within the next 12 months so us Intel runners need to prepare.

you could always laugh at yourself, and then ask the intel side of you for advice...

i dont think AMD will lock thier chips 100%
they will force us to find a new way to unlock them.....

AMD should be smart enough to realise the reason they are selling well is because we can change the multiplier.

If they do make it locked like intel....
just hope some fast ,like 400MHZ DDR comes out.

but i am with option
D
that is if AMD is dumb enough to do that

Evergreen has already unlocked it for them... it's not a good one, though. :)

I was just playing with my C3 550 again earlier tonight and it's WAY slow. Sandra benchmarks at default put it on near the same level as a 233. But hey, it's multiplier unlocked. That's gotta count for something, right? :D

Come on folks, if we choose D we are no better than them.

Lets be of higher class, just like our CPU's are :)

Wow I never saw so many Intel lovers. Usally it's all AMD people saying intels slow just wait for the athlon MP to be in servers.
But I only choose D to the kids that bash Intel and start the never ending flame wars.

I love it. All D's. Almost unanimous.

I know there is a lot of tricks to overclocking an AMD. But the greatest trick of all is when they say that it's cheaper in the long run to buy AMD, but then they forget to tell you that they had to buy a $150 Enermax power supply to run it stable, and had to buy a $40-60 heatsink just to cool that AMD Spaceheater they just bought.

Who's really cheaper in the end...

I was just wondering, which would be better the P4 or the Athlon 4 (if its locked)?

ok like, no i bought a 26$ psu that ran my 1.4 athlon just fine, a 30$ heatsink too both shipped. By the way, intel sucks, long live AMD I think intel needs some intel. AMD just needs marketing not to menchine howmuch does a p4 cost?-549$ when u can get a complete athlon 1.4 With all the best stuff, and a 17" monitor shipped. for 889. or just a Athlon 1.4 for 107$ so ha ha ha ha. . also a 1.4 amd can OC to 1.8ghz for all u people that justy look at mhz not the acull benchmarks. dont even wan to get in to preformance.
