I've downloaded te newest drives for my (uninstalled) nvidia ultra , 12.9whql and 4in1 4.32.

Like I said I dont have my card installed so I want to know if I can install both of these drivers or if I can only have one installed at a time? Later if I decide I want to benchmark the older drivers or newer ones come out can I just install them on top of these drivers or do I have to backup my system , or reinstall windows and everything else before the new drivers will load?

Also as far as my mobo drivers whats the deal with these drivers (same as above or different)?

The motherboard drivers should be installed first, and they won't need to be changed (unless newer drivers are released).

You can uninstall and reinstall any number of times the video drivers with no impact on your system's performance or window's ability to manager them.

I did have problems installing /uninstalling my GF2 drivers from Hercules, but not with the starightup Nvidia/Detonator drivers. Like a walk in da park ;)

I have the Leadtek ultra and if you can't tell I've never done this before.

When I go to update my drivers (when I get all my system setup) will I be able to install and run both the 12.9 and 4.32 together? I wonder if you can only run one driver at a time is this true or not?

NO!

:D

INstall the motherboard's 4-in-1 drivers when first loading the OS, immediately after setup and first time logging into windows. You may also want to get the latest directx software from microsoft's site, version 8.0a or 8.1

Then once that's installed you can do whatever. You should not have to touch your 4-in-1 drivers (unless you reinstall windows at some point).

The video/nvidia drivers install independently of the motherboard's.

Ok , now I see 4in1 is for the mobo and 12.9 is for the nvidia.

I checked the driver cd that came with my mobo and the 4in1 drivers are 4.29v(a) so should I go ahead and put in the 4.32 or what?

Also the driver cd has the 761 miniport drivers for win2k , win9x and winme but not the win98 version which I got off the epox web site. Install the one off the website?

I would use this driver pack from AMD.com
