View Full Version : NoiseControl Silverado
I've been looking at the Silverado recently as a solution for my HSF. I was just wondering what people thought of the heatsink. The reason I'm thinking about this one is because The computer's in the same room I sleep in and I don't want something loud. Nevertheless I still want something powerful enough for me to be able to overclock it. Any other suggestions would be appreciated with their pros and cons.
Thanks in advance

I bought a Silverado earlier this year after reading the review on Tom's and used it for a couple months (sold it only because I needed cash, not because of any problems.)
Overall I was very impressed. I don't know what I could add to Tom's review; the thing is quiet, cools great... don't know if Tom mentioned this or not, but the thing does have two fan header connectors (one for each fan). Also, it's very tall (I'd say about 6 inches).
These things didn't pose any problems for me, but they possibly could if you have a small case or no fan headers, etc.
Oh, the only bad thing about getting a Silverado is the wait. Unless they've changed something in the last couple months, it takes them 1-2 weeks to process your order, and another *month* to ship it. Yeah, a month. Don't ask me why it takes that long to ship from Germany but it does. The price tag comes out to about $90... I wouldn't complain at all about that were it not for the slow shipping.
