I installed the 12.90 drivers and noticed my hardware options tab had disappeared. So, using GTU, I enabled coolbits and my hardware tab appeared allowing me to overclock my card. I had to restart to see if I had problems when booting(I did in the past with the newer drivers). I rebooted and the screen was distorted with all kinds of funky colors and patterns. This happened before with the 11.xx drivers. Is there a work around for this issue? 'Til then, I'm back to my 10.80's! :(

Yes there is a work around and its provided by Overclockers.com's resident madman Wild Andy C and can be found on his site www.wildandyc.co.uk (http://www.wildandyc.co.uk/Miscellaneous/coolbits/nocoolbitshey.shtml)

[ Wild Andy's coolbits adaptive mod...
Excellent! Did it! 12.90's work great! Overclockability and all!!! I got an increase of 125 points in 3DMark2001 over the 10.80's. Now to see just how stable and compatible they are.
Thank you
