Rope Lights...

Would it be OK to put some blue rope light inside my computer? I know someone has had to do this before, but damn search is still broke so I can't look for them. Do I need to worry about heat, or static or anything from them?

i take it your talking about the rope lights you get at cheap mobile disco's and naff clubs, can also get them for christmas decorations?

static wont be a problem cos theyr sheathed in clear rubber, not sure about heat tho, could build up if left on for a long time.

rope lighting gets pretty hot!!
i wouldnt do it. go gets some EL lighting or something
