I just got my order form sidewindercomputers.com (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com) , it only took 2 days. What makes this even more impressive is they shipped it with basic shipping costs and it came from the east coast to the west coast (well basically shipped from FL to AZ).

I recommend anyone to use these guys good email notification , they answered my emails fast and the prices are good aswell.
I have already made another order and you may want to check out this site for yourself. :)

I actually found that their prices were not all that bad, especially for me because I live in Alaska and they ship USPS lots of vendors won't touch the post office they'd rather do fed ex or ups. thats fine if you live in the lower 48. UPS and fedex has no such thing as a ground rate for Alaska and Hawaii, that means 2nd day or next day air which = $$$$$$ to Alaska and Hawaii then they don't guarantee it will be their in 1 or 2 days because of your location so I pay at least 20 bucks for something that takes just as long to get there as 4 dollar priority mail.. and thats on a good day if I don't get a vendor that does the old "Alaska factor" markup and charges extra shipping just for laughs and giggles.. I compared sidewinders prices with 2cooltek on some things and they might have been 1-2 bucks more than 2cooltek, but I saved on shipping.. Big time.. at least for the stuff I ordered from them...
Who would you recommend Skip as a cheap vendor for fans, cables and stuff?

A lot of vendors stay away from USPS because there is no tracking available. When you get into packages over 2 lbs. the shipping rates in the lower 48 aren't that far apart. However, Alaska and Hawaii are a different story :). Most vendors will ship USPS if you ask.

As for reccomendations, not my place to really do that but clicking on the banners of the Vendors that sponsor us or visiting the sites of the guys that participate in the Forums would be a good start.

If you liked them, go throw a note in at resellerratings.com.

I read them and I know a lot of other people do.

My experience is that most vendors won't ship via USPS especially the larger ones. They always have an excuse, and you can track with the USPS it's just not as detailed as the other guys. I can see how vendors would want detailed tracking though. I've gotten stuff shipped by all the carriers and I've had the most luck with the USPS of course everyones mileage may vary. there are horror stories for all of them.

The folks over at PcNut were willing to ship USPS which was cool I ordered a glaciator from them. I do have a unique situation living in Alaska and whats always the cheaper price does not always equate to the cheapest total price because of shipping. The other way that shipping by the USPS helps me a great deal is that my billing address is my po box and I don't have to go through all that shipping address verification hassle (I know its for my protection but it's still a hassle).

I usually click on the ad links on the forum and the main site and I don't see very much difference in prices, at least at what I'm looking at getting. Fans and cables are pretty light stuff. Have not looked at case prices with shipping. In the past the shipping price to where I am is more than the cost of the case!!! I usually buy my cases locally, they cost more but they really don't in the long run :)

One thing that the other fellow mentioned was the fast ship times and the personal e-mails I liked that also... PcNut also at least in my experience had very good and personal style communications and I like that.. :)

I'm always willing to dish out a few extra bucks for reliable and secure service. As I'm sure you have seen a lot of the cheapest vendors especially the warlords of pricewatch can turn into a bad experience because of their business practices.
