help with my first intel

i have nf7 abit mobo i have 2.8 northwood
i got 2 pc3200 mushkin green 256 mb each
when i try one ram stick (either one) by itself everything works
when i put them both in 1 and 3 slots it doesnt post.
i just get a long bios beeeeeep.
im using default settings and all looks fine
what do i have to do?

try putting them in 1 and 2. also, u sure u have an nf7? thats an AMD socket A board. ur cpu shouldnt even fit in there, much less run.

lol no i guess its a nf? nf(intel) anyway i got her up and running.thanks for the advice.
