I have a really old Canon MD7511 that i pulled from an old 486. It's a 5.25" size drive that has both the 3.5" and 5.25" floppy drives. It's a bulky thing but i think it would be neat if i got it working.
When i plug it into my A7V mobo it only detects A: but a drive B: doesn't show up. When i click on the A: icon the 5.25" drive light lights up but since i don't have a jumbo floppy it gives me an error to insert a disk. It doesn't detect the 3.5" disk that i put in.
The drive doesn't have a normal modern floppy plug, but the large old PCB trace plug.
So im wondering why the computer can't detect the 3.5" floppy disk.

Ok i got it sorted out, i enabled a drive B: in my BIOS. but that didn't work, so i enabled A: B: drive letter assignment swap in BIOS and they both show up now. :)
