I looked at my easytune 4 software (for GigaByte mobo's) and it showed my 5v line being 4.9xx and never reaching 5v and my 12v line is always 12.4xx sometimes 12.5xx. The 5v doesnt bother me but the 12v acting like a 12.5v scares me a bit. I also think these reading are correct because my Aero Cool Extreme HSF fan (12v) is doing 2700-2850 rpm instead of the 2600 rpm that it says on the box. I don't know if this is bad, good, normal, ok, etc. Its a 420w PSU that came w/ my raidmax case ($60 -$30 mail-in rebate at fry's). I dont think that 4.9xx V is a big problen though. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Software is almost always wrong. Get a DMM and test your rails.

definitely get a digital multimeter to test the rails. If you trust your software monitoring readings, 4.9/12.5v is not bad, it's within the +/-5% tolerance that most PSU's are allowed.

So i shouldn't be worried much, ok thanks. I have a DMM, but its a cheap crappy one, like the one for 3 dollars. Is it still more accurate than the sotware?

it depends on the DMM, but I would trust a cheap DMM over any monitering software.

See the ATX Power Pinouts link in my sig if you need info on measuring voltages with DMMs.
