Congrats.... What's your chip stepping? My AXIA-Y 1 GHz does 1333 for now.... the FOP32 cant take much more than stock voltage. I'll be ordering a new HSF soon.

I noticed you use the ATI All in Wonder 128 Pro
I have the same card, (32mb) and I was wondering if it o/c'ble by itself and does it suffer from high FSB speeds?

Thats a good question. How can I tell what the stepping is? I'm pretty new to this.

I'm at 69mhz on it right now. I couldnt get any higher than 148mhz fsb with my A7V133 but with this new board seems to work good. However the card dont get good 3D scores.I just use it for the TV option,I hook my satellite up to it.I dont know if u can OC it by itself never tried or even looked into it.

The stepping is written on the CPU core.
As for the All in wonder card, I don't want to o/c it as much as I want to o/c my system but I don't want the card holding me bac as some older cards do not run well at high bus speeds.

If u find out how to OC the Video card let me know

I'm not really worried about o/cing it that much as much as I care for it holding me back from getting a very high FSB, I made sure all the PCI cards I have can take it, didn't get any that are too old and I don't want 1 small shi**y card holdng me back. I just want optimal gaming acc out of it for now though I won't be using it for gaming as much as TV-Out and Capture.

by the way, what water cooling do you have? I am going to be using fans (just ordered a new sys last night) and if I axail my case I think I should be able to oc my 1400 to 1700 (11.5x147) with Vcore around 1.88 yet stay around 40-45C torture mode. This is a total estimate (actaully my goal) Everything should come in by next Tue and I'll start right away, be done by Sunday.

Good job on 1.5!! This pic should help in telling what stepping you have.

Try adjusting some memory settings in your BIOS. It sounds like you have good RAM. There is a site that deals with memory settings in the BIOS that is best for overclocking but I cannot find it anywhere. Can anybody help here?

If you go here http://www.rageunderground.com/r128tweaker.shtml you can download the tweaker for the rage 128 chipset. I've downloaded it and installed it but I'm waiting for someone else to be brave enough to prove that it works without destroying anything before I use it myself. Feel like being my hampster? I don't remember ever mentioning anything about me going to school do you?

Canadians schools are actually worse, heh.
They have 13 grades to grad high school, 1 more than the US, I guess they chose stability and the US choose o/c burn.
Well it took me 59 minutes to remember but I did it:GUINEA! As for school comparisons thats a topic for a different section but I will point out that I graduated from school several political regeims ago and the education system during my time was a different beast. My inability to name rodentia at the drop of a hat isn't relavent to todays problems. Now hows 'bout we get back to overclocking discussions.
What is this CPU stepping? and why is it important?

the cpu steppin are the 4 letters on the second line the rates speed such as A1333
AXIAY
(other stuff)
So why is it important to know your CPU stepping...and why would it vary from CPU to CPU???
Different codes represent different production facilities and different times of production. The codes let you avoid buying a chip from a plant that is publicly known to have had problems or go with one that has been proven to overclock better based on it's sister chips from the same porduction run.
