It should if you install Java-suite and Flashplayer 7. I never have a problem except Microsuck Update site, and who wants to go there.

,,,,,,,,,,,so you don't get exploited/infected by sasser, gaobot, blaster etc.
,,,,,,,,,,,to make sure your OS is patched and you don't become a bot for viruses to spread.
Nice comment. <not>
One may behind a router/firewall, but that doesn't protect you from best practice's
>not opening emails from those you don't know - even in preview mode
>using P2P software (many viruse's exploit windows vunerabilities and spread via KaZaa etc)
>using IRC (many viruse's exploit windows vunerabilities and spread via IRC etc)

If you're lookin' for plugins, check out The Extension Room (http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/). Lots of great plugins.
Oh, you can also check out the OC Forums Search Extension (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=301576). A great, quick way to search the best forum on the net! Designed by our very own su root :)

Firefox is what I ment :), and If you have java and flashplayer installed you should see almost all sites, and the ones you dont see are the ones that most likely give you spyware ect.
Those other browsers are cool, but the non-spyware sites people write for IE don't work as well...

If you turn on automatic updates you don't have to even go to windows update.

Yeah, but the less MS knows about my computer the better. I don't need them looking to see if I need updates, tyvm :)

Use the latest .9 of Firefox I've seen that the sites that previously did not work are working for me now

Kinda. Firefox is a very stripped-down Mozilla core. They took all the bloated code out of Mozilla, added some nifty features and BOOM! Firefox.

Where are you finding .9 at? Mozilla's site still only shows .8
It's pro'lly one of the nightly builds they offer.

Lets see, I have tabbed browser extensions, search button and paste quote. If it was not for the tabbed browser extensions I would not even use Firefox. You can setup how you want your tabs and windows too work. I have mine setup so it opens everything in a new tab instead of a new window. Also it will open up links like what you get in forums, in a new tab. I just found the paste quote and I think it will be a very nice addition. You copy whatever text you want and then just right click and hit Paste Quote and it puts the tags in for you. Helpful for when you dont want to quote a whole message. Sorry it took so long to answer this, I didnt see where you asked.
