I had a 89 camaro core that I used for a while, its cooling area is 7x7"

it was very similar, I dont know if it woudl have been the same as I have never seen the bonneville core, mine was very easy, the barbs desoldered nicely and came out nicely, I just took some 1/2"ID copper tubing and soldered it right in place and I was good to go.

Jon

you didn't thread the barbs straight into the holes? Did you put them into the copper pipes?

I used copper pipes as barbs, they are 5/8" OD so the tubing had to streach over them and stuck on really well.

Jon

huh. interesting. I bet that is better, since barb's restrict flow (are not actually 1/2" ID, since they are made to fit INSIDE 1/2" ID tubing)
