I keep getting a Roundoff Error on the self test saying that it maybe a hardware failure. Does anyone know where I can start looking to fix this? I have an Asus A7V133 with a 1ghz tbird oc'ed to 1.3. My temps underload are around 50c. Thanks in advance

If I were to guess I would say that it just doesn't like your overclock.

It may be perfectly stable to you and everything else you run, but Prime95 is more sensitive to overclocking.

A little more voltage might fix that but since you're at 50C already I would keep an eye on temps.

I think Jon is correct.

I had the same issue with my 1 gig tbird at 1435. appeared stable to me. Never crashed. But prime would barf after 10 mins.

Upped the voltage from 1.80 to 1.825 and bingo. Prime was perfect.

what's your voltage at the moment?

prime is verrrrrry sensitive to any sort of cpu hickup caused by heat or bad hardware

the only thing i can think of is to back down and run the self test

if it completes the self test with no problem gradually bring it back up

you may want to cool that thing off a little better

Thanks, my voltage is set in the bios @ 1.75v and with asus probe and mbm5 it reads 1.79v to 1.81v, it tends to fluctuate just a bit.I am going to the comp show in search of some heat relief. And I have a couple of custom ideals in mind. So with some luck I should bring those temps down, Im aiming for 40c underload. Thanks again
