What is a good FSB Rate? 3:3:1 or 4:4:1? (CPU:SDAM:PCI???) This is for Abit-KG7 mobos. What will it do?

These are the divisors for the Front Side Bus - the bus the CPU runs on. All of these speeds you listed are dependent on this setting. The PCI clock should always be kept around 33.3 MHz. We'll use this as the base number all of the other numbers are based on.

If your CPU is one which is supposed to run on a 100 MHz Front Side Bus, such as older Thunderbird Athlons or a Duron, you will need a multiplier of 3 from the PCI bus. 3*33.3=100. You would choose the 3:3:1 option. On a CPU with a 133 Front Side Bus, such as the newest Athlons, you would use the 4 multiplier . 4*33.3=133.

Does this make sense?

If I am not mistaking 3:3:1 is for 100/200 FSB, and 4:4:1 is for 133/266 FSB. If you are using the 1.4 then you would set it for 4:4:1

OK, makes very good sense. Thanx
