i have a P3 450 occ'd @558 MHz
the temp went from 35-37 C to 40-45 C
my fan speed 3309 rpm
i'm wondering if the temp that i have right now is dangerous or not
I don't think that your cpu is anywhere near the
limit. The limit for current processors is
90C celcius. At this temp , the cpu will
start behaving badly, just chut it down and
it should be fine (with suffecient cooling).
I have know chips to show no damage whatsoever
when playing quake3 for 5 hours without the
fan plugged in (Yep i did that) it was Intel pII 450 with the std heatsink. Just dont touch it.
Hope this helps. 45C is half of critical.

Yes but I try and keep mine at or below the half way mark for the CPU kill temp. If you can do that you will prolong the life of it.
