Do I need to water proof my system if I am going to run a peltier and air cool it. If so what do I need to use?
Do you mean that you want to water cool your systen or you are worried about condensation?
If you are worried about condensation you should be. Also of note is that the peltier element
can give an on-rush of cold-ness when the cpu is
turned off that may cause the cpu core to crack.
To prevent condensation just insulate the block
suffeciently. Use your imagination, silicon seal the bugger.

Sometimes it's not necessary, just depends on how much condensation your pelt produces. Is it humid or dry where you live?

Well as long as I keep the air going its not all that humid.
I at first am going to useing a 72w peltier and after that I am going to a 172w peltier this is going to be on a celeron. I know at the 172 phase I would need to water proof but what about a 72w wpuld I need to then and if so what do I need to use?
As for the post above reddeathdrinker.
I am gong to air cool the peltier not water cool(not yet anyway)
So I was only wanting to know about cond with an air cooled system. I'll get into that once I get my rig water cooled might be awhile.
Thanks for you help though.

you will have to water cool the 172W peltier and probably will want to watercool the 72W one too unless you are using an SK-6 with delta or a Glaciator on it.

Thanks willam. I would have really wanted to get away with air cooling on that peltier but since I can't looks like I might go water cooling early.
