Thermaltake P4 Spark 7+ (Xaser Edition) Highest Performance Copper CPU Cooler, w/ Temp.Controler

Taking into account its an Abit i would say that is fine, but i use celcius so not 100% -- i know that 130 is a safe amount.

i dont get it im in air conditioning there are 3 case fans.
its the best cpu fan i ever bought.

Its probably the Abit board overreading, try and get a third party temp monitor in there to get a better reading.

Whats your case fan setup? Maybe your temperate sensors are just located in a hot spot.

ok i had one fan backwards .anyway i added a celeron fan(all i could fit) and took my 50mhz oc off .now WITH THE CASE COVER OFF im idleing 39 celcius chip and 31 celcius case temp. i dont know what else to do .im using mbm 5.and it says same as the abit temp says.

I will read the same, they use the same sensor,I had a Asus p4pe mobo b4 and it always read high (the same sort of numbers you are talking about if not higher). When i changed to a p4c800 the temps fell in line with the probe i had attached to the heat sink. I am not suggesting you buy a new mobo, stick a probe to you heat sink as near to the cpu as you can get, i have got a swiftech and can get pretty close. Add a few degs to your reading for the conduction between cpu amd heatsink then that should tell you if your mobo readings are right nor not. Don't believe you have always got a cooler issue based on the mobo readings

Is the heatsink mounted correctly with the fan pushing air onto the fins? Sometimes small things get overlooked, my abit over reads the temp some, but not that much.
