Hi, just ordered a Logitech MX510 perf mouse and was wondering what you people thiink is a great mouse pad to go with.... I want it to be fairly large too...

Place Im gonna prob buy is from www.bigfootcomputers.com so if you could perhaps recommend something from there... that be cool... what do you think is the best gaming mouse pad??

Also, anyone know why there is such low availablity for the MX510? The shipment Im getting wont come into stock until the 16th of June... why isnt it everywhere?

I don't see anything there that people normally recommend... What's usually recommended is something from fUNC or Ratpadz. There's also this German-made pad called the "X-board", which is supposedly also very good and with Rev 2.0 it's bulletproof. I've looked and haven't found any place to buy it outside of Germany/Europe, so you will have a hard time finding it unless you know someone in Germany.

i havent played the xtrac yet. i have had the everglide giganta, the ratpadz GS, the func 1030 and now the destrukt. the func is a good pad and many players swear on it, me too, until i got the destrukt. its not only its size that i like, its also that its a cloth pad. i dont like it when the mouse slips over the pad without giving you any feedback. you could get problems on lans though, cause you will get short of space
:p

Rough translation (not translated by a website):

It is subjectively the best pad in the whole test, because it plays itself simply and very pleasently even if it "only" reaches 9th place, with us testers it was nevertheless our favorite. For the decision between the Xtrac and the Destrukt pad, the subjective play feeling with the Destrukt pad convinced us. And since the Xtrac hammer is a full 35% more expensive, we jstufiably and contently give the Destrukt pad the "Lowsenser Preis/Leistungs Award."

had an off topic question... though it does have to do with mice.... is there any difference in performance if I attach a mouse to a usb slot versus the mouse connection on the mobo? What about system performance diff?
