I bought a heater core today with the given dimensions as 7.5 x 6". When I measured it, sure enough it was 6" wide, but more like 9.25" tall. What gives? I tried measuring just the finned part, but it was a little over 7.5". Is that height given the height for just the finned part or was the hc I bought labeled by morons?

Suffice to say, the hc didn't fit.

I've been searching for hcs online and I found two sites that have been very usefull. I'm sure they've been posted here before, but I don't think anyone would mind too much if they were posted again.

(I ripped this off of someone who is being kind enough to host. I forgot who, but if you're him and don't like it, I'll take it out)

are you flirting with me? :p

I'm now real hesitant to order one online. My space requirements are very strict and somewhat unusual (judging from the dimensions on the fedco list).

Take the dimensions of the area you're going to mount the heatercore at, go to your local auto parts store and have them take several heatercores out. Start checking for the one that will meet your needs. A little time consuming, but that's how i got mine.
