I'm trying to sleeve my PSU. I can get 4-pin molexes and floppies out easy enough, but the P4 and ATX connector have me baffeled. I understand there are two tabs on each side of the pins that need depressing before the lead will release
Do they have to be depressed simultaneously? Cuz if so, I'm in trouble... the only thing I have small enough (to fit two of them in) are some weak staples and they bend very easily. To complicate matters I can't see the tabs all that well since most of them are on the inside.
Any advice?

This is a good question that I owould like to know as well. I gave up on sleeving my PS because of a lack of tools to remove connectors and a lack of ingenuity to create them.

What I use is a small piece of steel apprx. 0.3-0.4 mm(!) thick and 2mm wide and push it in on both sides of the pins in turn. You don't have to depress them simultaneously. If you have a dremel or simila,r you could easily make this yourself.
There also are a special tool for the atx connector. Go here ( http://www.microplex.no/rubweb/varer.asp?ARTNR=MIPRA20) for picture. Not sure where to buy it in Canada(or Usa).

Man, I can't find anything that small that's strong enough... rather not have to buy a tool... *sigh*

Use 2 hacksaw blades and cut them into that shape that the svc tool is and then put another piece of metal between them, drill through them all and rivet them and you have a home made version of that $25 dollar tool.

You are probably thinking of this Molex tool. The 20 pin connector uses a different tool.

That tool isn't for ATX/P4 connectors. I already have that tool....

Much better indeed
I use a bobby pin....I cut the ends to where one is just slighty longer than the other and file them to where they are thin enough to slip into the connector.

I use a bobby pin....
Does bobby know about this :)
No Bobby does not know about this...But after breaking two of the tools from performance pc...I will stick with the bobby pin.
You have to file it pretty thin to make it work...And most of the guys I have given one to resort to my first method which is to shove it down on one side until you push it through the connector very slightly.
That bends the pin holder allowing you to go to the other side...You have to push the bobby pin in until it bottoms in the connector and then pull the wire and pull the bobby pin out at the same time.
And I hope you have some tough fingers...I take duct tape and wrap it around the top of the bobby pin to make a pad...Still kills my fingers.
Now using this method requires you to take a razor blade or somthing like one and bend the pin holder back out.

Tool for sleeving the SATA connectors would be nice too.
