Ok guys.

In another thread I explained that the stock HSF on my GF2 MX 400 died. I was told not to replace it with a Blue Orb. So today I ran out to to my local electronics store and bought a generic socket 7/370 HSF. But they didn't have any thermal epoxy. The guy sugested that I mix equal parts exopy adheasive (made for electronics but said nothing about heat transfer) and thermal grease. I said thnx but no thnx. Then I ran down to radio shack and they didn't have any thermal epoxy either.

I have AS2. Can I mix that with a little super glue. If so how much do I use? Has anyone evr tried this? I really don't want to drive 30miles to closest computer store if I don't have to.

Thnx in advance.

Instead of mixing it put the AS2 on the chipset like you normally would only leave a little uncovered at each corner of the chipset. Put a small dab of super glue on each corner of the chipset and put the heatsink on that way.

Mixing it is a good idea and many people do it, but it may drop the efficiency of the AS2.

Kingslayer is right. Mixing will probably work, but you loose the efficiency. The super glue on the corners will hold the heatsink.
