Hi all, it's me again...

Seems about a month ago, I had to sticks of non over volted pc400 512MB sticks go bad... put what I had around in, a pc3200 512MB stick, and everything was fine... until today... Random reboots now... yay! I can't use windows Error checking on the SATA 120MB HDD, after it's done with Phase 2, it replies 'windows can not check this drive for errors' even with both boxes unchecked. I'm wondering if it's ram again, but according to AsusProbe, I have 4.6v on my 5v line... man, pc's get frustrating.

On a side note, on one of the reboots, checkdisk ran, and I had 4 or 5 bad files located and removed, but the pc is still randomly rebooting. Anyone have any ideas of where to start looking again?

Oh yes, another side note: PC is running all default speeds, and has been for awhile now, a couple of months, watercooling removed, etc....

I would double check that 5 volt rail. At 3 % regulation, you should see nothing less than 4.85 volts. 4.6 is too low and you should fix this problem. Get MBM5 and see what voltages you have. Also use your bios and see if votage is low.

The random reboots is related to your harddrive/sata. I had this problem with constant reboots at windows log-on screen. I found I didnt set the master/slave setting correctly. Also, when you have SATA, make sure you set your boot device at SCSI. If you are not using SATA, it should be set at HDD-0. The master/slave jumpers and boot device in bios are the areas you should check.

check your voltage reel using multimetre (more accurate than software reading)
if your +5 volt is really to low as 4.6v so just get a new psu.
try deferant memory stick or try to boot using only one slot then run memtest

C1007 Bios addresses SATA stability also check to make sure you have the latest drivers for SATA installed.

Just an update, Failed SATA drive... man, only about 4 months old too, and had to RMA... good thing for backup PC's, as the main PC sits in the closet waiting 4 - 6 weeks on a Western Digital RMA :( So dissappointed.

Check the capacitors on the motherboard!!! Unfortunately, your Asus A7N8X motherboard may literally have cheapo-made capacitors installed.

If any leaking and/or bulging on the tops of any capacitors, the capacitors are faulty!!!
